KIDS & PETS
We develop ideas and programs for socializing children with pets and/or strays. The children should be educated about interaction and behavior around animals When adopting a pet they should be able to understand at least the basic needs of an animal they are adopting. Furthermore, we are supporting the idea that animals can help young kids get certain habits, develop sense of love and compassion and even be used in therapeutic purposes.
In Belgrade only (the capital of Serbia) the population of stray dogs reached approx. 8 400 according to last estimation. Incidents are inevitable in such an environment and it is important to educate citizens, specially the children, how to live with strays and make it a better place both for them and animals.
Workshops
It is in our plan to organize small workshops in primary schools including tutorials and exhibitions of children crafts and paintings. Beside having fun, children will have an opportunity to contribute to animal rescue by donating their work. We encourage parents and teachers interested in this program to contact us!
This program exists under the supervision psychologist and with a support of City of Belgrade.
Visits to shelter
Once we open our own shelter, we will organize monthly visits for children and their parents. During that time, kids will have an opportunity to play with dogs and cats, cuddle them and even take one home for a pre-adoption test.
The happy faces
As a part of our social programs, we are looking forward to organize social interactions and play-days between rescued animals and children with disabilities.
This program exists under the supervision of medical personnel and with a support of City of Belgrade.
